A man accidentally shot himself Wednesday morning inside an AutoZone in Allentown, according to authorities.
City police said in a news release that officers were called about 8:40 a.m. to the store at 2919 Lehigh Street for a report of a shot fired there.
When police got to the store, they found a man, 21, had shot himself with a handgun, the release states. He was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of his injuries, which are described as not life-threatening.
The incident was isolated and police said there is no danger to the public.
