Former Lehigh Valley brewery one step away from conversion to apartments

The borough’s planning commission conditionally approved plans Wednesday evening for the Brewery Lofts at 1249 Newport Ave. The building used to house the Northampton Brewing Corp. from 1898 to 1951 and made Tru-Blu beer.
