Hunter Shepard made 26 saves to lead the Hershey Bears to a 3-0 win over the СŷƵ Phantoms on Wednesday night in the opening game of the Atlantic Division semifinals of the AHL’s Calder Cup playoffs.

The Bears, who are going for their third straight Calder Cup championship, got goals from Chase Priskie, Spencer Smallman and Bogdan Trineyev.

Parker Gahagen had 24 saves on 26 shots for the Phantoms.

The Bears took on a 1-0 lead on Priskie’s first-period goal and secured the victory with a pair of third-period scores.

Game 2 of the best-of-five series is Friday night in Hershey. The Phantoms will host Game 3 on Sunday at 5:05 p.m.

If necessary, Game 4 would be played at Allentown’s PPL Center on Friday, May 9 (7:05 p.m.). Hershey would host Game 5 on Sunday, May 11.
