Like the summer weather, Allentown’s ArtsWalk is ready to heat up again when a new Italian restaurant opens next month.
Simpatico plans to open June 9 at 27 N. Seventh St., owner Jesse Haik said.
It’ll replace Blended, which closed in December, and will offer pizza, pasta, antipasti dishes, salads, porchetta, chicken parmesan, tiramisu, gelato and a variety of beer, wine and cocktails.
Diners there can enjoy outdoor seating and live music as well.
Haik, who also co-owns Pennsylvania Rye Co. with Dan Gonzalez, will operate the restaurant in a spot that has seen departures not only in Blended but also the handmade crafts market The Hive in March and the Downtown Allentown Market in April.
will be open for lunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and dinner from 4-10 p.m.
