
One person is in critical condition after Allentown firefighters Wednesday afternoon rescued him from Jordan Creek.
The Allentown Fire Department responded to a report of a possible drowning at Jordan Park, off Sumner Avenue, just before 1:30 p.m., according to a news release from city spokesperson Genesis Ortega.
A male was seen jumping into the creek but did not resurface. Several bystanders were unable to rescue the individual, Ortega said.
When firefighters arrived, they immediately entered the water and rescued the person, who was found underwater. They performed CPR and city paramedics started advance life support, according to Ortega.
The person was taken to СŷƵ Hospital-Cedar Crest, where he was reported to be in critical condition as of late Wednesday afternoon, Ortega said.
No further details were immediately available.
