Allentown rang in the new year Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2025, with the drop of a giant hockey puck in Center Square. It’s the third year the new year was marked with the puck drop, in partnership with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms.
The puck, which is nearly 1,000 pounds, is believed to be the largest in the world, according to the Phantoms.
