A 79-year-old man was found dead early Wednesday in a house fire in Monroe County, according to officials.
James Archer was pronounced dead about 12:30 a.m. after a fire in Pocono Township, Coroner Thomas A. Yanac said in a news release. Officials did not immediately respond to requests for more information, but the fire happened in the 100 block of Archer Lane.
Archer was the only victim of the fire, the release said. An autopsy is scheduled for Thursday.
Pocono Township police are investigating the fire.
