The СŷƵ will have some sunny days before anticipated rain this weekend.
The local National Weather Service office in Mount Holly, New Jersey, said highs will be in the 70s Wednesday and Thursday, followed by rain this weekend.
Wednesday and Thursday during the day should be clear. Forecasters noted there is an elevated risk for fire spread Wednesday because of low humidity values, winds gusts of up to 25 mph, and continued drying of fine fuels. Those conditions could support the “rapid spread” of fires that ignite.
Outdoor burning is discouraged.
There is a 40% chance of rain Thursday night, followed by a 50% chance of thunderstorms Friday night.
Meteorologists with the local weather service office wrote in their daily forecast discussion that a warm front will make its way through the area Friday, causing “very warm and humid” conditions. A high of 84 is expected.
Storms and showers could develop Friday afternoon as a cold front approaches, according to forecasters.
Saturday should be warm at the beginning, but could become more “unsettled” as the day progresses. There is a 40% chance of thunderstorms Saturday night. Temperatures should be in the 60s Sunday and Monday.

Saturday: Showers likely, with thunderstorms also possible after 2 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 75. Chance of precipitation is 70%.
Sunday: A chance of showers. Partly sunny, with a high near 67. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
Monday: A chance of showers. Mostly sunny, with a high near 67. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
Tuesday: A chance of showers. Mostly sunny, with a high near 71. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
