Wednesday afternoon causing a major traffic disruption along Interstate 78 in Williams Township.
The accident was one of two that happened on the eastbound side of the highway in Northampton County, according to a county emergency dispatcher.
The first crash happened around noon about 1 mile east of Exit 67, which is the turnoff to the Hellertown and Bethlehem areas, according to authorities.
The second accident happened about 30 minutes later involving three vehicles at the I-78 toll Bridge near the Pennsylvania-New Jersey border, an emergency management official said.
There has been no reported deaths or major injuries in either accident. The county dispatcher said emergency responders were cleared from the scene, but Pennsylvania State Police are investigating.
